There's
no doubt about it. SE has been one of the coolest BMX
brands for almost thirty years. In 1973, Scot Breithaupt
was the first person to organize and promote BMX races.
Not long afterwards, he created the company called SE
Racing. Over the years it became a household name in the
BMX world and went on to sponsor some of the biggest names
in the sport. To this day, there are more SE riders in
the BMX hall of fame than any other company.
Fast-forward
almost three decades and they have stayed true to their
BMX roots with bikes like the legendary PK Ripper, the
OM Flyer, and the Quadangle all still in the SE lineup
for over 25 years. All of the Ripper race bikes have been
improved and are lighter than last year. The Wildman Pro
has smaller micro dropouts and removable rotor tabs. The
OM Flyer is a blast from the past with its retro color
scheme. The Single Speed road bikes are steppin’
out at unbelievable prices. And the Quadangle Looptail
frame is the Holy Grail for old-school riders in their
30’s and 40’s. |
